Very few directors in Telugu films can mesmerize audiences with their uncanny knack of making style. Gunashekar is one among them. When his film Okkadu with Mahesh Babu was released, all the film critics praised director than performance of Mahesh Babu and Prakash Raj. Especially his lavish sets in movies are much talked. Only few producers can come forward to make movies with him as his style of making is not within the budget of many producers.
But Arjun, Sainikudu with Mahesh Babu, Varudu with Allu Arjun were disasters at the box-office, no produced dared to come to him. At this situation, his friend, director Y.V.S.Chowdary has tuned to be a ray of hope for him. It was titled as Nippu where Ravi Teja played main lead. Expectations on the film were sky high, unfortunately it was too dud.
As of now, he has no films in hand; Telugu producers do not have enough courage to make a film with this talented director as he could not deliver reasonable at the box-office after Okkadu (2003).
Will he turn as a producer now or will someone take a dare step to pour money to make film with him?
We need to wait and see…!
