One
of the much awaited films of this summer is Rajamouli directorial Eega.
Tollywood grapevine is that the story of this film is fusion of blockbuster movies ‘Magadheera’ ‘Yamudiki Mogudu’ with some inspiration from ‘Robot’.
The
main story line goes this way. Hero Nani deeply loves the heroine
Samantha, on whom Sudeep has a lust. So, Sudeep kills Nani. Now, Nani’s
soul comes out and he wants to take revenge so he is ready to take
another birth. Till here the story is in lines of Magadheera.
The
divine power offers Nani to take revenge but he doesn’t prefer to take
revenge in human form as rebirth as a human will mean he has to go
through the phases of growing for almost twenty years. Instead he asks for a rebirth with life as a short-lived like a ‘Housefly’. The power asks how can you kill a human being with that form and Nani replies he will do it with his intelligence so he asks for a short lived form. This concept of story, in which hero enters another body after death is taken from ‘Yamudiki Mogudu’.
As
a housefly lives for only 17 days, Nani has to kill Sudeep in that
time-frame. The graphical extravagance and technical aspects were
inspired from ‘Robot’.
However,
there is another buzz running saying that the story of 'Eega' was
really inspired from 'Athmabandham', that was released in the year,
1991. Suman and Lizi are the star cast of this movie. As per the story
of this movie; Suman and Lizi are a married couple and live happily. However, Suman is killed by a villain. Subsequently, Suman's soul comes out of his dead body and wants to take revenge on the villain. Rest of the story deals with how he takes his revenge on the villain.
We
have to wait and see the movie, to know what exactly the story of Eega
is. Lets hope Eega has a novel story, unlike the pre-release talk!
